For the Quantol campaign setting.
Galleyna (Intermediate goddess)
Symbol: White skull impaled by a black sword on a field of orange flames
Alignment: Chaotic evil
Portfolio: The apocalypse
Domains: Chaos, Death, Evil, Hunger, Pestilence, War
Favored Weapon: "Endbringer" (falchion)
Galleyna is an unpredictable deity that pursues her goal with a frenzied, manic pace. Her only goal is to bring about the apocalypse. She is not a deity of subtlety or guile, she prefers brute force and overwhelming power. She is a brutal, uncaring, and furious deity. She appears as a human woman in her thirties with wild, unkempt black hair. Her clothes are torn and dirty, she is covered all over with small wounds. She is barefoot, dirty, and has a mad gleam in her eyes.
Her church is mostly made up of evil, insane cultists that operate in secret. Her faith doesn't have any temples, only small shrines that are often portable. Sites of mass destruction are considered holy places in her church. Her faith is very disorganized and spread out. Her clerics work to bring the apocalypse about as soon as possible. They poison wells, burn crops, salt the earth, cause wars, spread diseases, and murder unbelievers. They work to cause anarchy and rebellion in stable countries.
Clerics of Galleyna pray for spells before going to sleep. Her church has many holy days, most of them are anniversaries of events of mass destruction or massacres. On the holy days they still work as normal, but also have a special ceremony with sacrifices of people and/or animals. Clerics of Galleyna often multiclass as barbarians, fighters, and rangers.
History/Relationships: Galleyna used to be a good deity until Bringer of Night took over Quantol. Bringer of Night tormented and twisted her into the evil and insane state she is in now. She used to be a good deity of family and community. Her only permanent ally is Skelemonk. Her enemies are all the gods of good.
Dogma: Every waking moment should be spent working on bringing the apocalypse. Destroy food sources to cause famine, murder the unbelievers to cause death, spread anarchy and rebellion to cause war, and spread diseases to cause pestilence. Life, peace, health, and prosperity are abominations to be destroyed.
