These are a set of stories that developed many years ago as I was studying to gain my Teacher's Certification. These stories kept me sane as I went through two failed marriages, a number of jobs, and supporting my children. I consider the characters in these stories as friends.

The stories in this series are not fantastic heroic adventures as the stories of Jackal and Rain. These tales are also not the intense driven character dramas of Sapphire and Cindy. The tales in the Sylvia Cycle are more calm with a strong underlying drama. While many are not engaged by the stories, those that allow themselves to become immersed in the events find themselves living a more believable setting.
