Acid Fog
Transmutation [Water]
Level: Alc 6, Gyp 6, Rag 6, Sor 6, Water 7, Wit 6, Wiz 6 Components: V, S, M/DF Casting Time: 1 Action Range: 10ft./level Effect: Fog 30ft. radius and 20ft. height Duration: 1 round/level Saving Throw: None Spell Resistance: Yes
Acid Fog creates a billowing mass of misty vapors similar to a Solid Fog spell. In addition to the slowing effects (movement rate 1/10 of normal, damage rolls at -2 penalty, and falling damage reduced by 1d6) and obscuring sight (prevents melee range attacks, creatures 5' away have half concealment, and those further than 5' have total concealment), the vapors of this spell are highly acidic. Each round, starting with when the caster works the spell, the fog deals 2d6 points of acid damage to creatures and objects within it. The fog is not easily dispersed needing a wind speed of 31+mph to overcome the magic, although at which point it will be removed after one round.
Arcane material component: A pinch of dried, powdered peas combined with powdered animal hoof.
