I'd be a Greyhawk dragon. Their stats are in the old Greyhawk Adventures hardback.

Far and away my favorite of the dragons is steel dragons. Though not officially yet supported by third edition .... in second edition the steel dragon fell into my heart and has remained. So much so, a certain steel dragon is my #1 character's husband for more than 500 years now.

It would depend on the game... in an "evil" game I would play a Shadow Dragon, in a more mello game I would play a Pseudo Dragon or Faerie Dragon.

They forgot Saridor and the gem dragons. Most importantly Saridor. If you can be a dragon PC, why not a dragon-god PC?

I would choose to play Borys of Ebe, the Dragon of Tyr. Possibly THE most powerful NPC to grace a campaign setting since Elminster.

And a Dragon to boot.

A shadow dragon of course :). I always liked them most - given red dragons are more powerful but even song dragons give better opportunities safe might&power demonstrations - shadowdragons got this one 'no one knows them' and 'those who knew em don´t live anymore' and many other things I really like. Furthermore I like underground settings and a shadowdragon polymorphed into a swirfneblin - with an uncommon attitude... ah well you all know what i am thinking of don´t you Smile
