The newly published Player Handbook II recieved its first web enhancement today.
The enhancement takes the for of an article with an additional, optional rule for spellcasters that create magic items. Magic Items: Transferring XP Costs
| Quote:: |
| The following article focuses on wizards when it comes to the crafting of magic items (and getting stuck with the XP bill). However, artificers receive a number of craft points each level to offset XP costs; should they run out of craft points, they might consider the following options as well. |
If you are curious about the rules (and the spell, items and ceremony feat connected to them) you can check them out here:

Once again an interesting series of articles in the Rules of the Game category by Skip Williams.
The first part covers the absolute basics of illusion spells - the subschools and what they can do.
The second part goes more into the gritty details, namely the aiming of spells, saving throws and disbelief. How they are handeled.
You can find the 2 parts here:
All about Illusions Part 1
All about Illusions Part 2
Next week the examination of saving throws vs. illusions will be finished with an article discussion what "interacting with illusions" means.

Let's get small: Adventure Design Part 1

WotC's Jesse Decker and David Noonan have published an interesting article about designing adventures, especially for the less experienced DMs this is going to be interesting, but also the long-time DMs may find it helpful.
As a little bonus there is a rant from David Noonan about drow in there... In a future part of this article series he will explain why he loves gnolls as a counterpoint to his rant in this article.
You can find the article in question here:

Web-Enhancement: "Races of the Dragon" - Traps and Perfection
Posted by Atlan on Friday, January 27, 2006 (14:18:17) (1857 reads) 1 comment |
A new source book, a new web-enhancement. Sometimes you can debate the uses of the enhacements, though they are always interesting.
This time we get an enhancement that is undoubtably very useful (especially if you love traps). We get 10 Traps (with CRs from 1-10) that are good to use, not only with the Kobolds who designed them. As a final bonus we get the "Kobold Paragon" 3-level class.
So if you like Kobolds or traps you have to get that enhancement.
Where? Well here:
