Elven Name Generator
Posted by t_catt11 on Wednesday, October 06, 2010 (03:41:10) (1086 reads) 6 comments |
Tired of trying to think up decent names for your elven characters and NPCs? Check out the Elven Name Generator by the Red Dragon Inn.
This isn't one of those "convert my real name to Quenya" scripts you see all over the internet. This generator will give you up to a hundred elf names at a time, for both male and female elves. In addition, you can choose to get given names, surnames, or full names.
The names are of surprisingly good quality, and the utility itself boasts more than one hundred billion possible combinations - so even picky players and GMs can find something they like.

D&D convention in Iraq, Needs your help.
Posted by Steve on Thursday, April 19, 2007 (17:19:52) (1338 reads) 9 comments |
Military personnel stationed in Iraq are planning a role-playing game convention but are short on polyhedral dice, graph paper, lead miniatures, rulebooks, and so forth. They're looking for donations of D&D kit for the event:
The largest problem with running a Con in Iraq, of course, is that there are no local stores or game publishers, and few game books on the post. Even dice are in short supply, with many soldiers breaking the unwritten taboo held by many gamers and sharing dice. Thankfully, many game publishers have also lent their support, and have agreed to supply game products to help the Con along. aethereal FORGE, Sovereign Press, Final Redoubt Press, Goodman Games, Paizo Publishing and Steve Jackson Games are among those that have thrown in their support for the convention. But Amberson indicated that the soldiers could definitely use more.

Chat Server survey
Posted by Thema on Saturday, June 26, 2004 (14:30:42) (2088 reads) 4 comments |
In order to completely prevent further attacks on our server we're asking you, the members, should the chat server close itself to casual visitors and only allow pre-registered nicks entry to channels etc.?
This would be accomplished by automatically registering members of the ADnD.com site's member nicknames with NickServ, or by using a special javascript form. In order to further facilitate security, NickServ would require a reply to an email for confirmation, but only for the form users, as members of ADnD.com will have already done that as part of their signup process.
Please check out the poll, and give your comments.
