Tales by TerishD: For the Sake of a Soul: XXXI
Posted by TerishD on Thursday, July 03, 2003 (05:26:15) (517 reads)
Plans of the Mighty
Medalpha had moved through the wooden walls to sit with Celatia. The centaur was braced in a stall doing her best to remain calm as the boat rocked from the divine agitation outside. The amber haired half-horse had been singing songs, and it was those tunes that had brought the princess. Vocal lessons were part of the normal schooling of the young noble, and she did find the activity entertaining. Celatia had been singing to calm herself, but allowed Medalpha to use the musical lyrics to attempt to escape from reality.
The group finds themselves facing death as their goal looms before them.

No Friends Away from Shore
Terdeskollit could not be more pleased. Events were going as well as could be expected. He might have begun knowing little of those with whom he was dealing, but had been studying the group. A proud feeling of superiority came over the God as he again felt in control.
The heroes face the challenges of the deity determined to achieve their victory.

Wizards of the Coasthave released a Revision Spotlight on their website about one of the baddest of the bad ... the red dragon. As reported at Wizards.com the changes arent many and not a radical revision by any means, but you can see for yourself the alterations in this pre-release glimpse.

WotC give away paper models.

WotC give away paper models.
Ok so you have to provide your own paper
Strange as it may seem printing your own paper models can be a cheap and effective way to create atmosphere and realism in a campaign. WotC have realised this and commisioned thier artists to create some fantastic Castle, and Village, fold and glue models for you to download, print, and use. Including damaged goods, so you can show the results of that stray fireball spell.
Visit Wizard's Archives to take advantage of this great giveaway.

Tales by TerishD: For the Sake of a Soul: XXIX

The Last Promise is Kept
The ship was not actually that large, but it was able to provide more than enough room for the nine intelligent beings and their seven horses. The ship was a sturdy wooden sailing vessel squat in design with a width about half that of its length. None were certain where the wood had come from. The belief of most was that the God Terdeskollit had restored some sunken vessel that had somehow come to rest in a location devoid of most actions of decay. The wood was wonderfully polished however, so a few suspected that the deity had recently created the craft.
The journey to find the lady of gold now proceeds over water.

The Ocean of Reality
Terdeskollit was not happy. Things had been going extremely well. Straekin and Thaunya were scared, intrigued, and happy with the change in their physiology. The flow of emotions from them inspired a variety of responses from the others. The deity however had no method of reinvigorating the initial surge of sensations.
Certain members of the group start to realize their predicament even as Terdeskollit develops his plans.
