Being Lost in Elfland
Chapter Thirty-Three: Complete
Women of Not the Normal Kind
...
I felt a hand move to my thigh. A concern that it would move elsewhere momentarily bothered me, but I easily realized that Michechio had no erotic intentions. She actually had no experience with certain things that Miralee and I did or referenced in our speech. The puppet knew that I enjoyed the breasts of my lady, so had presented her round mounds to me on occasions. What I appreciated about other parts of my wife the wooden female however had no way of understanding. I would not send her away, so accepted her touch while waiting for her next words.
“Tough Link, would you take on the case of making me a real woman?”
The problems of Fairyland can really put a man to the test.

Being Lost in Elfland
Chapter Thirty-Two: Complete
Sir Auodos and Thor
...
“I may be made of wood, but I am alive. If you touch my foot, I can feel it.”
That I did believe. I had been around Michechio enough to know that she could respond to touch. I thus moved to her not to assure that she could feel my fingers upon her foot, but assure myself of facts that I did not fully believe.
“Your foot is still wood. I cannot feel any muscles. I cannot feel any bones either. What is there to hurt?”
Besides further development in a certain relationship, two more legendary figures are met.

Being Lost in Elfland
Chapter Thirty-One: Complete
Beauty and the Beast
While the puppet went quiet, I spoke of desiring one destination to be on our agenda. “Percival, what are your thoughts about stopping at the church above Elfinmere?”
“Yeah, verily, a pleasant stopping point. Tis a Christian church, if not exactly of the proper method of worship. As a place of prayer unto the true God, it is but one of the few in this pagan realm.”
Michechio asked, “Would this true God change me into a real woman?”
A number of topics get discussed with one gaining an important revelation.

Being Lost in Elfland
Chapter Thirty: Part Two
Sir Percival Again
...
I replied, “I will worry about you, Michechio. Still, while you are wearing that outfit, let me get our weapons and we can spend time sparring.”
Turpedo beamed as he said, “Yes, yes. I have wooden practice weapons for both of you. I do not want any of my children hurt.”
The weapons that were brought were very carefully carved duplicates of the silver dagger given to me by the elf queen and the family sword of Turpedo. I almost did not want to harm the lovely replicas, but I desired to hurt Michechio or myself even less. That was a wise decision to use them, as both of us did deliver some accidental good blows upon each other. Percival did give both of us advice, but mostly left the two of us to simply gain some basic comfort in having and using our weapons.
Final preparations are made before Tough Link leaves.

Being Lost in Elfland
Chapter Thirty: Part One
Sir Percival Again
...
I really did not know how to take those words, so gave a more diplomatic response. “None of us know the future, Percival. To deny the past or present is however crazy. The queen proved herself as being a help, and I do have a wife from this land, so I will not simply toss aside any connections to this land.”
“Yeah, verily. While I hope for King Arthur to step from his tomb and call me to his side, until that time I will call this land home as well. Nezzaraine and Allenoire are the rulers of this land, so I pay them homage, but my true allegiance is to Arthur and Guinevere.”
Something in the wording caused me to ask, “Guinevere? Is she alive?”
It is a wonder what issues will arise when making plans.

Being Lost in Elfland
Chapter Twenty-Nine: Part Two
Turpedo
...
Something in her tone of voice caused me to ask, “Are you working with Michechio?”
That mischievous smile that I find so enchanting came to my wife’s face as she replied, “You could use a helper, and Michechio does not want to simply be a performing puppet.”
“But she also wants me to hold her, and kiss her, and touch her as I do you.”
“I trust you there.”
While a change in lifestyle is being made, old desires are not forgotten.

Being Lost in Elfland
Chapter Twenty-Nine: Part One
Turpedo
...
The throng that surrounded us spoke words of welcome to us with special words said to Michechio. They knew her and spoke of missing her. I heard a number speak of missing her presence in the local theater. None however invited us anywhere, so I wondered what to do even as I tried to say nice things in return to what was said to me.
“MY MICHECHIO!”
The man had somehow worked his way to the front of the crowd. His shout caused a number to step away. Geppetto had always been shown as an old man, but this man was probably still in his thirties. He had thick black hair with a thick growth of beard only on his chin. He was dressed in bright green clothes. With no one standing near, he easily took a couple of steps forward then fell to his knees with his arms spread wide.
Michechio works to get what she wants.

Being Lost in Elfland
Chapter Twenty-Eight: Part Two
LaBelle
...
The tiny man settled on the window sill as he provided the answer. “Most try to forget that they are there. The king has never been able to defeat them completely. They come out and cause trouble at times, and the king has to take his troops into their caverns, but the victory is never complete.”
“Well, I believe that they are holding the lad that I came into this land to find. After delivering Michechio back to her father, I am going to head above Sapphire Lake.”
“I wish you well.”
A certain sub-plot rises as certain facts are learned.

Being Lost in Elfland
Chapter Twenty-Eight: Part One
LaBelle
...
“The great thorns once completely surrounded the home of LaBelle. Once the prince had her awake, the thorns lost their enchantment. They however make a great protective barrier, so have been allowed to remain.”
Lady Shinny, I believe that I have stated often how I have tried to make sense of my surroundings. This land was quite odd. While I have had to often accept things as being real that I previously only considered figments of peoples’ imaginations, I still sought to gain some method of relating what I saw to what I knew to be true. Well, Lady Shinny, this time I actually made a connection between what I truthfully saw and what I considered to be fantasy.
“Wall of thorns? Prince? Awoke? Michechio, are you saying that LaBelle is Sleeping Beauty?”
The map does have the castle of LaBelle surrounded by briars, and Belle of Beauty and the Beast is elsewhere on the map, so LaBelle had to be Sleeping Beauty.

Being Lost in Elfland
Chapter Twenty-Seven: Complete
Peries
I was still thinking about meeting the Indians when I saw something that appeared equally as strange the next day. I saw what I felt to be a city. I mean, it was a city. There were houses with people moving about pushing wagons and such. When I first saw it, I considered the community a few miles away. I then realized that it was closer. I had to stop to again examine my surroundings before accepting what I saw.
It helped seeing someone fly. Suddenly, the scale of what I was seeing fit into place. This was not a normal city for normal people, or even elves. It was a city for fairies. I had not seen fairies associated with normal life, but seeing the little winged person I realized that the community ahead of me was very much smaller than anything I had previously considered.
This was a hard chapter to write, but I believe that I got it.
