News » Author Margaret Weis Forms New Company
Damon White Reports: November 3, 2004 (Lake Geneva, Wisconsin) ‹ Margaret Weis, best-selling fantasy author and current owner and president of Sovereign Press, announces that she is forming a new game publishing and book packaging company--Margaret Weis Productions, Ltd.
"I am very pleased about this new venture," Weis says. "Sovereign Press will continue to publish and
support the popular Dragonlance roleplaying game line, licensed to us from Wizards of the Coast. My staff and I have ideas for other very exciting new projects and, because some of these cross over from games into the book publishing field, we believe that they will be better served by coming out under a new banner, one that has direct ties into the book trade."
