I haven't checked it out yet, but is it free? Because if it is then it's obviously a whole lot better than the thing MSN offers.

Well it is so-called "voice-over-ip", so the only costs you have are your online costs.
Not sure about the sould quality as I haven't tried it - but is has also been presented on a German Computer-show and they didn't say anything negative about it (iirc) so it should be decent.

No idea, but I wouldn't be surprised if it is your IP, the other possibility would be the phone number you dial in with.

Of course it could also be that no ID is shown at all.

I have a feeling it would either say:

"Name Unknown
Number Unknown"

or:

"Name Blocked
Number Blocked"

I get those a lot with Cell phones, so this is probably the same.

Well, when I used that MSN Phone thing, it came up as "Name Blocked" / "Number Blocked". And I have broadband, so I'm guessing it would happen with this as well.
