Making a character now for a 3ED Eberron Campaign. (There should be a smiley for "shuddering")
Or it may be 3.5ED, don't really know.
Human Artificer.
Wish me luck.

I agree with the shuddering. Eberron is the epitome of the worse of WotC. Artificer is one of those front-loaded character classes that you take for 1 level (maybe as much as 3), then switch to another class. Still, I guess that it can be fun.

*shudders in rage and revulsion*
I HATE eberron with a passion!!!!!! Especially the artificer class! It is the most unbalanced class ever! I hate the warforged race too. The whole eberron book is a munchkin's wetdream turned into a book. Wish I could go back in time and make it so his submission to the wotc contest never reached them and burn it so it never got published!!!
RRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWRRRRRRR!
Ok... I feel better now. This concludes today's rant.

Just as a note, the story that I now have running, "The History of Mardon Castle," was originally conceived as a story for Eberron. That is why I have the Eberron book. I bought it as research material for my submission. I had hopes of giving a more rational interpretation of Eberron to give more reasoned players a platform to base their development. Well, my submission was rejected. When I read what stories of Eberron WotC published, I actually felt glad that my story would not be associated with such garbage. (There was originally supposed to be 10 to 12 such books, but I read the first and only heard of maybe one or two more.)
The couple of installments I wrote for WotC did not die, but stayed on my hard drive almost calling me to develop it. I slowly added more and made changes in the outline until I had what you are now reading.

Deep clensing breaths, Meef.
Deep ... clensing ... breaths.

A friend of mine ran us through the opening part of the 3.5 Edition "World's Largest Dungeon" and each of us were granted either one magic item, or one item made of special material. One player made a Warforged and delcared that his item of special material was...his Warforged. he had a Starmetal Warforged. The GM not only allowed it, but commended the munchkin on his ingenuity. I wanted to quit immediately, but I had already made my character, so I played a session with them before moving back to the comparative sanity of my HP Lovecraft collection. Good luck Wyndeleth.
